Every spoon ring we make is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art—handcrafted to carry a story.

Our founder, Julia, handpicks vintage spoons from collectors and artisans around the world. Once selected, each spoon is carefully cut, sanded, sized, and shaped—all by hand, using just a hammer.

We use only sterling silver or silver-plated spoons to ensure every piece is high quality, made to last, and designed to be a daily treasure.

An Earth-First Approach

We believe beautiful things shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.

Instead of using newly manufactured spoons, we hunt for vintage silverware—true treasures from around the world. Many are collectible on their own (some worth $25–$300!) and are upcycled into meaningful, one-of-a-kind rings.

When you wear Silver Hippies, you’re wearing silver with history. Many of our spoons date back to the mid-1900s—some even as far as the 1800s.

We also ship sustainably using recyclable paper and reusable hemp bags with every order. 

Empowering Women Through Craft

We work with small-scale spoon collectors and artisans who share our values. Our necklace line is handmade in Indonesia by a group of talented women, and their families who Julia met during her stay in small fishermen's village there. 

Every piece is handmade slowly and with intention—supporting the women who craft them and uplifting their communities.
