What we do

The Silver Hippies Quality and Process: 

Each spoon ring we create is a unique piece of wearable art, carefully crafted to tell its own story. Our founder, Julia, hand selects spoons from spoon collectors around the world. After treasure hunting for spoons, we hand cut, sand, size and handcraft each ring using only a hammer—no heat is applied, preserving the integrity of the sterling. 

We primarily use sterling silver to create timeless, quality pieces that will last and serve as a one of a kind treasure :) 

Earth First Business Model 

By sourcing antique spoons and upcycling them into one-of-a-kind rings, we breathe new life into forgotten treasures, choosing sustainability and ethical practices over mass production and unethical labor.

We do our best to use earth-friendly materials whenever possible– each ring comes with hemp bags or recyclable brown paper packaging. 

We support local artists and vendors.

We proudly support local artists and vendors by sourcing our spoons from trusted artisans and suppliers around the globe. Each piece we acquire reflects the craftsmanship and stories of the communities we work with, helping to sustain their livelihoods while bringing unique treasures to our customers.
