Hi, I’m Julia, founder of Silver Hippies.

We started in 2021 with my college roommate, a dream, and a handful of antique spoons — literally hammering rings by hand using a crack in the pavement outside our college apartment. Our friends definitely got a kick out of watching us work that way, but we were determined from the start. From those humble beginnings, Silver Hippies grew into a passion for rescuing and upcycling sterling silver spoons from around the world into one of a kind rings.

Finding these spoons is a real-life treasure hunt– digging through markets, meeting collectors, and hearing the stories behind each piece. Many date back to the 1800s and carry a history worth preserving.

Every ring is unique, inspired by places I’ve visited or dream of. Made to last beyond trends, each piece connects with its wearer in a special way.
